So say Rob and Maurice, a partnership of friends who don’t like to do things the same and as a result of their compromise, the client wins. This stunning Uber-Chic restaurant features an all-white decor leaving the client, service and food to provide the colour. In the White Room, the walls change colour providing an unbeatable atmosphere, whilst mellow, jazzy crooners music is piped throughout the restaurant, no cheesy South Tenerife tunes here!
At the cocktail bar, Sammy reigns supreme, a regular Tom Cruise right here in Las Americas, whilst Domingo runs the restaurant with smooth slick precision. Each of the staff is incredibly helpful and, as one waitress, Laura put it, “I love the people who come here, I love coming to work”, nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of them.
George Lauhingfan and his partner Sue Webb were the guests of Rob and Maurice at their spectacular restaurant in Las Americas recently. As heavy duty party people, they are particularly hard to please, so Bianco had a lot to live up to.
Victor, their waiter for the evening, guided them through the huge menu options, offering his own suggestions and observations all the while with a smile.
From the extensive wine list George chose a Ribera del Duro from the Hacienda Monasterio, a particularly smooth red wine.
As a starter George opted for Carpaccio de Solomillo, which was “beautiful” whilst Sue had a Seafood Salad “incredible” The presentation of the Seafood Salad in particular was absolutely outstanding.
Moving on to the main course, Sue chose the Roasted Duck with star anise and French orange sauce with potatoes and seasonal vegetables and George plumped for Filet Steak with Merlot-garlic infused oil, also served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The Duck was superb, really tasty and the presentation was spectacular and the Filet Steak,”was excellent and cooked exactly as requested”.
The final triumph was desert which was a melt-in-the-mouth Tiramisu which by all accounts was “absolutely incredible, gorgeous”.
So Bianco pulled it of with these two restaurant veterans, as George put it, “very nice atmosphere, the decor is fantastic, the food has to be applauded and the waiters are extremely helpful, I will be back”.
For a night to remember in superb surroundings, where the food, presentation as well as the atmosphere and staff are all insurmountable, you will be hard pressed to beat an evening at Bianco.
