Patricia Rodreguez from Tenerife was crowned Miss Spain 2008 at a fabulous celebration in the Marina d’Or complex in Castellan, Spain on Saturday 1st March.

Second prize was claimed by Miss Madrid, Claudio Moro.

Other former beauty queens taking part in the pageant were: Cecilia Bolocco (Miss Universe, 1987), married to Argentinian president Carlos Menem, film superstar Michelle Pfeiffer (Miss Oregon, 1978), the gorgeous Halle Berry (Miss Ohio, 1986), and Sophia Loren (runner-up Miss Rome and Miss Italy, 1950), who, incidentally visited Tenerife a couple of weeks ago for the Carnaval.
