La Escuela Graciela Spanish School is based in Los Cristianos, Tenerife and has been operating there since 2002 giving foreigners a chance to learn Spanish during intensive courses. The courses are Ideal for either permanent residents or those on a short stay who want to understand more about the Spanish language.
There is a maximum of 6 people in a class which creates a friendly, informal atmosphere and ensures that everyone is able to practice conversing in Spanish and feel confident in the classroom.
All written material needed is given to students at the start the course so you can practise at home if you want to.
The classes are in Spanish with English explanation and the courses are divided into four levels with teachers to help you to choose the correct one.
Each lesson lasts two hours and the classes run from Monday to Friday in different timetables according to the levels: in the morning from 9:30 to 11:30, 11:30 to 1:30 pm; and in the afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30, 6:30 to 8:30.
When a course is finished, the school give the students an attendance certificate.

Carnival 2009
Traditionally February is carnival time in Tenerife, Canary Islands, but the most spectacular is held in Santa Cruz, in and around the port . It is considered to be amongst the best in the world, and is one of the most famous entertainment spectacle in Spain. People from all over the world come to experience the Santa Cruz carnival where the streets come alive with colour, noise, bands, drums, processions, floats, amazing costumes, and happy crowds.

20 February – Parade of the elected Carnival Queen in Santa Cruz

23 February- Free open air concert in the plaza de La Candelaria in Santa Cruz
24 February – ‘El Coso’ – The Grand Parade – starts at 4.00pm. It is the main procession in Santa Cruz held in the street Plaza de Espa
