Last Years Walk For Life in Tenerife was an incredible success, so the organisers are doing all over again! It has turned into a spectacular money raising phenomenon.

As organiser Brigitte says “A unique, healthy and emotional event that we organize each year to raise funds for the battle against breast cancer”. Together with her army of volunteers they get all the logistics, sponsorships, institutional contacts, collaborating companies, communication, artists all ready for that special day.

“Each year we donate the amount raised to the Asociacion Espanola contra el Concer (AECC) and Asociacion de Mujeres afectadas por Concer de mama (AMATE), who will designate the amount to investigation and special activities for those affected by cancer. Of course this always happens under guidance of a Notary to certify and guarantee transparency at all times”. So you all know that whatever monies are raised, they will go to the right places – exactly where they are needed.

The walk in Tenerife is 3.5 km and is primarily for breast cancer charities aimed at the British and Spanish communities.

Starting from Mediterranean Palace in Las Americas, on Sunday December 13th 2009 at 11am and ending at Sal y Tien. Come and show your support to those dear to you by walking for them: your wife, sister, mum, friend, neighbour, colleague etc you will make a difference.

The Sound of Musicals, the “feel good show of the year” is having a special offer for those of you in Tenerife for Chritmas and New Year.

For Christmas Day, starting at 4.00pm until 7.00pm, there is a full Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings and of course all your drinks and entertainmant is included. Again, children are half price.

To celebrate the New Year The Sound of Musicals are offering a spectacular show – starting at 8.00pm and going on until 12.25am, the usual menu applies as does the fully inclusive drinks service. Along with the show – what a great way to see in the New Year!

Upgrades are available of €10,00 per head and includes premium seating, Sangre De Toro (red), Vina Sol (dry white), San Valentin (medium white) and Torres De Casta (rose), and a select desert but must be pre-booked.

The world of motor racing is in luck, especially the people of Tenerife!

On the 17th November 2009 plans were approved to build the Centro del Motor de Tenerife at Atogo in Granadilla which is located above the Reina Sofia airport.

The project covers an area of over 1,300,000 m2 and is an investment of 31,000,000 euros.

The site will have more than 4,000 meters of race tracks and has been designed
to offer 9 variations of tracks so that it will be able to hold various racing events including F1.

The build time is scheduled to take approximately 20 months so maybe 2012 will see Tenerife added to the F1 calendar.
