Kate and Gerry McCann are clinging to hope their daughter is alive and have launched a new 24-hour phoneline to find her.

The line will be manned on a confidential basis and people are encouraged to ring in with sightings or evidence.

Spokesperson for the couple, Clarence Mitchell, told Sky News: “Without any hard evidence of her death, Kate and Gerry hope against hope that she is alive.

“They want this to exist as another line for anybody who might want to contact somebody independently.

“Any credible leads, of course, will be acted upon.”

Portuguese and Spanish police have given Gerry and Kate McCann their full backing in setting up the number, which will be based in Spain.

The operators of the line will speak a range of differerent languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French and English.

This is just a letter of thanks, for all the hard work, time and patience that you gave to us in the purchase of our apartment in Dinastia, Los Cristianos.

Having had to leave the island through no fault of my own, I always believed that I had a true friend that I could talk to at any time.

We recently bought an apartment in Gran Canaria and dealt with Property Consultant, Beryl Still.
Having not purchased abroad before we obviously had concerns; we had heard so many stories where things did not go according to plan. We explained this to Beryl who, not only understood our concerns but went out of her way to put our minds at rest. She explained the whole process in great detail and ‘hand held’ us through each step.

We are now the proud owners of the apartment we wanted. Beryl kept in touch with us via email when we came back to the U.K. and when we went back to Gran Canaria recently she very kindly not only took us to the shops and provided us with even more information but her and her husband came to our apartment armed with tools we needed to do our re-decorating.

I am writing to sing the praises of a member of your staff. In March  my husband and I started looking for a property in Tenerife.

Hi, I hope this e mail will reach the managing director of the company.

I came to Tenerife the weekend just gone on a pre arranged visit to view businesses in the Los Christianos area these businesses being Cafe/Bars.

I had arranged this visit through Paul.

I viewed a business straight away (which I have purchased) called the Pit stop.
To cut a long story short Horizon were fantastic during my visit, and took me to view other bars during the time I spent during my visit.

At no time during my visit did I feel pressured by Horizon, they let me make my own mind up whether I like the bars or not.

I felt very relaxed with the company, even though Horizon was hoping to sell me a business we had a laugh, which is important to people, but serious and proffesional when needed to be.

If the rest of the purchase of the business goes like this weekend I will be a happy man and happy customer.

On several occasions you went beyond the call of duty, calling at the solicitor’s office at 9.00pm at night on our behalf was one such occasion and we are very grateful.
